Woot

Head writer and content guy at the world’s first daily deal site, 2004-2014

The Problem: selling cheap gadgets at midnight every night, to geeks who knew the products better than we did.

The Solution: write outrageously funny and brutally honest copy, day-in, day-out.

The Work: I wrote thousands of pieces, ran a team of 10 creatives, edited a daily blog, and produced special events.

The Results: a bonafide geek phenomenon, with tons of love from Gizmodo, Engadget, Reddit, and more. We hit $100 million in annual revenue by our third year. Amazon bought us in 2010.
